For the last few months, I have been recuperating from a total knee replacement surgery. While the surgery performed was "beautiful" according to the surgeon, the post operation rehabilitation was anything but. During the rehab period, I was taking 750 milligrams Vicodin, a narcotic pain reliever every four hours. The drug did its job all too well, which means I was always sleepy and unable to focus or concentrate. I slept a lot, and in between naps, did my assigned rehabilitation exercises. The only plus to all the pain, and I do mean pain, was that I have regained most of my mobility and lost my appetite, as well as fourteen pounds.
I hope you all bear with me,
Bill Durrenberger
